Just what is an alternative process? These days, most anything not done with a digital camera is pretty alternative. Usually, the term applies to what are known as historical processes - those methods of producing images that time has passed by - some examples are salted paper, platinum/palladium, and uranium printing. Some processes are considered alternative because no one is quite sure where to place them - examples are pinholes and lith printing. Alternative processes allow me to play mad scientist - to be an alchemist. Pick a process below to find out more. |
